Quality Control

Consistent chemical composition, controlled impurity levels, and stable metallurgical performance are essential for ferroalloy products used in steelmaking, foundry production, and secondary refining. At Baitengxin, quality management is integrated into every stage of manufacturing—from raw material selection to final shipment—to help ensure every batch meets agreed technical specifications and customer requirements.

Raw Material Qualification: Quality begins with raw materials. All incoming ores, alloy materials, reductants, and auxiliary materials are inspected before production. Chemical composition, moisture content, particle size, and other key characteristics are verified to ensure production consistency from the very beginning.

Smelting Process Control: During production, smelting parameters are continuously monitored to maintain stable alloy composition and minimize fluctuations between production batches. Temperature, reaction conditions, and processing parameters are carefully managed according to the specific requirements of each ferroalloy grade.

Chemical Composition Analysis: Every production batch undergoes laboratory analysis to verify major alloying elements and impurity levels before further processing or packaging.

Particle Size & Physical Property Inspection: For lump, granule, and powder products, particle size distribution is inspected to ensure consistency with customer specifications. Product appearance, shape uniformity, moisture condition, and physical integrity are also checked before packaging.

In-Process Quality Monitoring: Quality inspections are conducted throughout key manufacturing stages rather than only after production is completed. Operators and quality inspectors monitor production parameters continuously, allowing any deviations to be identified and corrected promptly, helping maintain stable product performance and reducing production variability.

Batch Traceability System: Each production batch is assigned a unique identification record that enables traceability throughout manufacturing, inspection, packaging, and shipment. This system supports quality verification, production history review, and continuous process improvement.

Packaging Inspection: Before shipment, every order is checked to ensure correct packaging configuration, product identification, labeling, weight, and pallet arrangement. Packaging materials are selected according to transportation methods and destination requirements to help protect products during international logistics.

Final Inspection Before Shipment: Finished products undergo comprehensive final inspection before leaving the factory.

FAQ

Q: What are ferroalloys commonly used as?

A: Ferroalloys are iron alloys with elements like manganese, silicon, or chromium, primarily used to enhance steel and cast iron by improving strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, and heat tolerance.

Q: How are ferroalloys produced?

A: The bulk ferroalloys, namely, Fe–Mn, Fe–Cr, and Fe–Si, are produced commercially by reduction smelting of their oxide minerals with coke or charcoal or another carbonaceous reductant in a submerged arc furnace and, to a lesser extent, by a metallic reductant such as aluminum.

Q: What are the raw materials of ferro alloys?

A: Ferro alloys are produced in sub-merged arc furnaces using electro-thermic process. The main raw materials are manganese ore, fluxes like dolomite & quartz and reductants like coke, charcoal & coal. Ore which is in metallic oxide form is smelted in the furnace.

Q: What is the melting point of ferro alloys?

A: Melting range 1482-1521°C. Furnished in a variety of lump, crushed, and ground sizes. Derivation: by reduction of the oxide with aluminium or silicon in presence of iron in an electric furnace.

Q: Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?

A: Yes. Sample availability depends on the product type and specifications. Our sales team will assist with sample arrangements and technical recommendations.

Q: What packaging options do you provide?

A: We offer 25 kg bags, jumbo bags, palletized packaging, moisture-proof protection, OEM packaging, and customized export solutions.

Q: Can you provide quality certificates?

A: Yes. COA, MTR, chemical composition reports, inspection reports, certificates of origin, and third-party inspection reports are available upon request.

Q: What information is required for a quotation?

A: Please provide the product name, required grade, chemical composition (if applicable), particle size, quantity, packaging requirements, destination country, and any customization requests.

Q: What is your production lead time?

A: Lead time depends on product type, order quantity, and production scheduling. We will provide a confirmed production and delivery schedule after reviewing your order.

Q: Which countries do you export to?

A: Our ferroalloy products are exported to customers across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and other international markets.
